We took Xavier to the hospital for his beach soccer injury. It was a long wait. Maybe 90 minutes or 2 hours. An old guy asked if Xavier was my grandson. He also asked if my Canadian wife was much younger than me. Lol. We saw the doctor (who was happy to get to try out her English on Xavier). And we had a couple of X-rays. Luckily, nothing broken. Total cost was €4. They would have billed directly if we were from Quebec. But apparently they didn’t have an agreement with Alberta. So I paid cash while trying to stifle a giggle. €4.
